It is the primary role of the school to guarantee that education is carried out operatively to the learners. A student who does not gain anything from a school could mean that the system is defunct, or the environment is inappropriate for learning.
School violence tops the list of common public school problems in the United States. Competitive advantage of individual schools, such as a good line up of faculty members, becomes useless because of an inappropriate learning environment. Instead of providing a place conducive for learning, the students are distracted by the violent incidences; hence fruitless use of time. The consequences of these incidences are not the responsibility of the attackers, parents of the students, nor the government; the burden lies on who will fix the "mess".
It is evident that the school administrators carry the burden of resolving the issue of violence. In as much as people would expect more from the local government, it can only do as much because of the differences in school culture, beliefs and practice. In effect, students of different schools react to different situations - each has a unique profile from the others. Hence, the Department of Education strongly believes that there is no absolute solution to the problem since it is school-specific.
Knowing the nature of the issue, the school administrators have the absolute power to fix the problem. And the plausible solution to the problem is a learning management system. All public schools can adopt an LMS to resolve violence and restore the quality of education. An LMS is software that is capable of monitoring and managing training and education online. Development and learning of students is ensured because these become the fundamental concentration of the school. Through an LMS, the performance of the students can be measured objectively, in contrast to the current grading system.
The nature of virtual learning can bring many benefits to students. First, the students are no longer exposed to an environment where learning can be disrupted because of violent incidences such as fights and theft. Since learning is gained in the confines and safety of each student's respective areas, student inputs and outputs are expected to be of sensible quality. Second, there will no longer be unproductive periods when classes are put off because of violence settlement. In other words, the duration of learning is maximized with an LMS; hence education becomes intensive. Third, an LMS can train and influence the perception of students in terms of taking full responsibility of every task assigned online. Lastly, an LMS can check the degree of competency that every student has developed along the course.
The quality of education in the public schools can be uplifted with the elimination of school violence. The problem of school violence can be resolved by the administrators through a learning management system, which can be made universal across America.
